For this reason, Hammond Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge offers in-clinic diagnostics using the latest technology that allows us to get results quickly and accurately.

We want to keep your pets healthy and happy from their puppy and kitten stage to senior years. Physical examinations alone do not provide a complete picture of an animal’s health condition. For this reason, as well as the fact that animals are very good at hiding signs of illness, we recommend annual checkups and blood work. A lot can be learned from blood work screenings including the detection of abnormalities in the body, evidence of disease due to the presence of or exposure to parasites and viruses such as heartworms and feline leukemia. Recognizing the early onset of disease and catching it in its early stages gives your pet the best chance of recovery.

In addition to blood work screening, our array of diagnostic testing capabilities includes digital radiography and ultrasound technology that allows us to take clear, accurate images of the interior of the body quickly and efficiently. Having these resources in-house means that we can provide a diagnosis and treatment right away for critical cases or patients with injuries.
